My son when he was a baby….
I still haven’t met a cuter baby than him ♥♥♥
As I was walking the neighborhood with my son, this cutie started following us. Because we were walking along the side of the road (on our way to the park), she was almost ran over twice. So we decided to come back home and bring her with us. We fed her and cleaned her but we can’t keep her. My two cats are afraid of her, and she’s afraid of my cats.
I posted it on my FB page and tagged the Brownsville Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and they’ve been known to find fosters or forever homes in cases like this,
I went around the neighborhood and nobody seems to know who the owner is. She has no tags or collars either.
She’ll be spending the night with us, but I’m already getting attached, and my son wants us to keep her, but owning another pet means more vet bills and dog food, grooming supplies, etc. I just can’t
I swear to God when I have a better job and get paid more I’m going to help as much as I can with animal causes, but in the meanwhile is not possible. Please send prayer and good vibes so I can find this sweet girl a forever home.
It will be 1 yr anniversary of Bubble’s death soon and I still miss her. May she forever RIP.
I was hesitant to share this pic from yesterday’s meeting with PD -one of the rescued dogs- because I look horrible. The meeting took place at the beach and I was sweaty, my face was oily, and my hair was a mess (it was super windy).
But what the heck! PD took an instant liking to me and I’m sure you can see that on his face. And I was so excited to meet PD, that it also reflects on my smile ^.^
So here goes this beautiful picture that has now become one of my favorites.
So I met the other two doggies today: Peanut and PD! For those who remember the fundraiser I helped with, these 3 dogs were rescued from abusive conditions and their health was deplorable. They are now undergoing heart-worm treatments thanks to this people who kindly donated to this noble cause.
I met Maddy last Friday (I posted about it here) and Peanut and PD today.
PD has already been adopted (in the pic with my son), but Peanut (the boxer) and Maddy are still looking for their forever homes. They accept national and international adoptions as well ;)
I’m seriously thinking about becoming a part time volunteer to this awesome organization. I’d be doing what I most love, with no other pay than seeing the look on these adorable faces when they realize not all humans are bad and that they now have someone who loves them deeply.
I am eternally grateful for this awesome experience. Although I won’t see Maddy, PD and Peanut again, they’ll live forever in my heart.
I got to meet Maddy today!!!!!! She’s one of the three dogs I helped raise money for. She was rescued by the Brownsville Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and tested positive with a bad case of heart-worms upon arrival. She’s already gone through her first treatment and the people at the rescue site thinks she’ll make it. And I think so too! Isn’t she the biggest sweetheart???
She lives with an amazing foster family, and is accompanied by other fosters and pets of their own. They are all beautiful lovely dogs (and cats).
Maddy is the white one. I wish I could take her live with me, but I live in a tiny apartment with 2 cats already.
The Brownsville Spca was so grateful with all the donations because they never thought they could raise that kind of money in less than 48 hours but we did it!
I’ll be meeting PD and Peanut this Monday, and of course there will be pictures.
Thanks again to everyone who donated to the cause, and to those who reblogged it.
I downloaded this awesome app that allows to apply makeup, change your eye color and even try different hair styles to any pic. I jus applied a little blush and lipgloss to this, but believe me: Nicky Minaj’s pink hair or Shakira’s long blonde tresses were NOT my best friends.
I’m watching Friends and is dark but here it goes:
Guys, they’re on sale. You won’t believe how happy my heart is!!!
Also, if you are not in the mood to see me right now, joke’s on you, cause I’m freaking awesome :P
Can I just brag a little about my little brother?
Because at 21 years old, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from our Local University (UTB). By his graduation, he had already been accepted into Yale, Baylor, Harvard and many other universities.
He is now getting his Masters/Doctorate Degree in Biological Science from Harvard Medical School on full scholarship -which means my parents haven’t had to pay a single dime for his education- and also works for their Science lab researching a cure for Alzheimer. He is currently the youngest of his graduating class who will be able to have a Doctorate degree from Harvard by the age of 27.
Can I also add that coming from an all Spanish speaking household he didn’t really learn English (as a second language) until he was about 10 years old? But that didn’t stop him from achieving all he has until now.
He was also the reason I went back to school not long ago because he told me I wasn’t too old to finish my career, and literally dragged me to the registrar’s office and helped me during the whole registration process.
And how could I forget the time I was crying because I had to pay $400 in textbooks and I didn’t have enough money, and he paid for them, because he is awesome like that, and he is the best little brother in the whole wide world.
I love my brother and I’m immensely proud of him, and this whole post is because
IT’S HIS BIRTHDAY TODAY, AND I KNOW THERE’S A SLIGHT CHANCE HE WILL SEE THIS (HE CHECKS MY BLOG ONCE IN A WHILE)
SO LITTLE BRO, IF YOU SEE THIS:
HAPPY MOTHERFUCKING 24TH BIRTHDAY!!!! WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!
I KNOW I ALREADY SENT YOU 98547 TEXT MESSAGES, BUT I JUST WANTED TO PUT THIS OUT THERE FOR THE WORLD TO SEE.
My third graze box, you guise!!!
I’m at a taco place with my parents and I tell my dad to put his car keys on his pocket and he says in Spanish: Well, people are not going to be able to know I’m a Harvard dad if they’re on my pocket. LOL.
Spanglish convos between my brother and I son cosas de todos los dias.
I got my 2nd Graze box today and I couldn’t be happier! I changed my boxes to be delivered every 2 weeks, and besides the 1st free box, this is the first paid one. If you guys get ahold of an invite code, I highly suggest you don’t waste the opportunity to try them out.
